Christmas in July

Merry Christmas in July!  If you want to get a jump on your Christmas cards and projects,  jump in your sleigh and slide on over to the Color Challenge at The Outlawz!  Teresa selected out lovely color palette and Twist for this week.  These are the colors she used in her renewal of her wedding vows ceremony, so they are special!  A Day for Daisies is our sponsor this month, and I used one of my favorite images of Tammy's.  It is just the sweetest!

I hope your are inspired to come and check out our challenge and submit your Christmas card or project.

Dog Days of Summer

Phew!!  It sure is hot in Georgia.  Nothing new during the summer months.  I got a reprieve on my vacation to Alaska and Seattle two weeks ago.  What lovely weather we had!

The color challenge at The Outlawz is a "Hot" one!  Guylou selected our inspiration image and colors this week, and you need to check us out!  ADFD is sponsoring our challenge this month, and a randomly drawn crafter will win some of their images by playing in our challenges.  I chose one of Tammy's beautiful ballerina's for my card this week.

I made my flower by cutting five circles out of wide organza ribbon, and ran a match flame around the edges to "melt" them which gives them a curly, fluffy look.  The circles are small to large size and there are five.  After stacking the cirles up, I stuck a big jewelled brad through the center.  Voila!  It is much easier to "melt" the edges with one of those fireplace lighters, but mine was dead.  Had to use quite a few long matches and watch my fingers!!  The lighter blue paper came embossed and I used a nestibility for the oval.  A computer font was used, some polka dot paper, Copics, I chalked the edges of the polka dot paper.
Hope you will come over and join us this week!

Also, check out "Through the Craft Room Door" magazine this month.  A lot of fun going on in there!  You also have time to play at "Guylou's Inimitability" this week!  FAB digis to be won!

Have a great week!

Guylou's Inimitabliities Last Challenge of the Summer!

This challenge ends on July 26th at 10pm. This will be the last challenge for Guylou's for the Summer. Her challenges will resume in on September 6th.
Remember if you use one of her images on your project you get two entries in the challenge. A random winner will be selected and will win a $10 gift certificate from Guylou's Online Store and will have the opportunity to be a Guest Designer on one of her challenges in the Fall.
The theme was chosen by DT Carla and it is "The Same Old Song and Dance" that makes me think of my fave band, Aerosmith!
I love coffee!  It is one of my vices, so I used Guylou's image Leah with Her Coffee.  I hope you all can find some crafty time to come over and play in this fun challenge and send summer out with a bang!

My Alaskan Adventure

My family, friends and I are back from the beautiful state of Alaska.  We cruised on the Norwegian Jewel for seven days and spent two days in Seattle, WA.  The pictures do not do the scenery justice.  Would love to go back to Alaska and fly in to Anchorage and rent a car and just drive!

Pearls and Swirls at Guylou's!

Swirls and Pearls Challenge

Hello wonderful crafters!! It is time for another challenge at Guylou's. This time Guylou is challenging us to make a project which has swirls and pearls.

I used Guylou's fabulous digi "Francesca and Craft Magazine" for my projects.  I colored her with copics and Cricut cut some swirls to mount my pearls.  I added a snippet of ribbon with "enjoy" to the corner.  I love working with Guylou's digis and reading craft magazines!

Color Challenge and....the Party goes On!

Hope you will come and check out the Color Challenge for July 3rd at The Outlawz!  Laurian has a great challenge and color palette for us this week.  Also.......The "Where In The World" party goes on through this week, so get those projects in!  There are so many awesome prizes up for grabs!

This Week's Color Challenge

Our fantastic sponsor for July's Color Challenges

Sponsor: A Day for Daisies

I used "Boy With Balloon"  from A Day for Daisies.  Having a three year old grandson influenced my selection of this adorable image.  He doesn't carry a rabbit, but does take "lamby" to bed with him.  I used Stampin' Up inks applied with a make up wedge, and the negative of a Spellbinders die cut for my window.  I colored the digi with Copic markers and cut him out to adhere him to the inside of the window.  I also used a computer font for my sentiment and some pearls.

I hope you will come over and join us this week, and don't forget the Party!

We want to know where you are from - your country, state, province, street - or where your heart longs to be! Come on and play!! We have some really awesome sponsors, challenges and games! You won't want to miss this party!
