The Holidays Are Upon Us.....

Every year I swear I am going to start earlier so I can actually enjoy the Christmas season, and it never seems to happen!  I am so far behind on my projects that I feel almost overwhelmed.  This Saturday is going to be a crafty day!

Our Color Challenge at The Outlawz
Ursula chose the color palette and inspiration photo.  I love this photo, it is so festive!

I made my card to look like a front door decorated for the holidays.  I used a pair of old decorative edge scissors for my snow against the door and cut the snow from some glitter paper from Michaels.  The window is from Spellbinders and I made the candle in the window.  I placed some acetate in the window frame.  My wreath was cut with a small leaf punch.  I had to cut many, many little leaves and glued them to a "donut" shaped circle.  The twist in our challenge was to add some gingham so I made my bow from ribbon.  My red glittered stars were cut with my new EK Success border punch.  Peace, Love and Joy are stickers by Bo Bunny.
"Anything Goes" challenge is up and running at TTCRD.  As always there is great inspiration from the DT and some gorgeous cards from the members are starting to pour in.  There are some great prizes from the sponsors just waiting to be won.  Hope you will come and join the fun there.  If you haven't experienced the online magazine, you are missing a great treat!  The free digis included in the magazine are worth the price of a subscription!

A Fond Farewell......

Sometimes live just gets in the way.  Sandy Huggett and Anne Fenton are retiring from their Creative Freebie Challenge at The Outlawz.  I have "known" them both for a while and have been working with them for about a year and I have really enjoyed it.  They are two very talented illustrators and I know everyone will miss them.

My Color Challenge card this week is using one of Gerda Steiner's fabulous digis.  She is our wonderful sponsor this month.  As an Alabama fan, I just had to use the little elephant, even though I am still in mourning after this past weekend's game!

I chose the Color palette this week, and the ladies on the DT did an awesome job on their inspiration cards using it.

The "twist" is to make a holiday card or project.  I used an EK Success border punch on my sky and snow and cut it out of some designer specialty glitter paper I got at Michael's some time ago.  My silver stars are cut with a small Creative Memories punch and topped with little glittered stars by Recollections.  My two tree die cuts came from Marshall's on a dump table and the sentiment is stickers I have had for quite a while.

Over at TTCRD the ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE is up and running.  The ladies have done an awesome job with their inspiration cards and you can add up to two projects!  If you would like to be a Guest DT, contact Sandi Huggett at the site.  Hope you will come and play in both challenges.  You will make some wonderful friends and fellow crafters.

TTCRD also has a wonderful magazine that I would encourage you to subscribe to.  Many free digis that pay for your subscription and wonderful artists that contribute with tutorials and articles.

Color Challenge at The Outlawz
Penny chose this beautiful inspiration image and the color palette.  I chose Lovely Lavender, Smooth Pink, Sparkle Yellow to play with.
The twist is to add a flourish.  QKR Stampede is our fab sponsor this month and I am using their adorable image.  My die cuts are from Nestibilities and my papers are from Creative Memories.  The flowers are Primas.  I colored the Winter Birdie with my copics.
Through The Craftroom Door
My card for the "Anything Goes" challenge is from our sponsor Paper Shelter.  I ride a Harley 1200 Custom so I just had to choose this darling little Biker Chick.  I used my Copic Markers, twine, some papers from my stash and pearls.  I used some Cat's Eyes distress ink and the sentiment is a Stampin' Up stamp.

What I have been working on!

I finished three cards for the challenges at The Outlawz for this week.  For the Color Challenge I colored up an adorable scarecrow from our sponsor QKR.  I just love this image.

I used some tiny sticker letters from Reminisce, Copic markers, some brown and white twine from Stampin' Up, a Fiskar border punch, and an unknown little leaf punch.  I also used my chicken wire embossing folder.
Sandi and Anne have two lovely images that they are offering for free on the Creative Freebie Challenge.  All you have to do is send them your email and they will send you the images.  You then just need to make projects every two week using their images and you will continue to receive new ones.  How easy is that!  Here are my two for this week.

The top one is using Sandi's Christmas Butterfly and the Bottom card is using Anne's Tis The Season image.  They were both fun to work with.  The papers are from a Vintage Christmas by Paper Studio that I bought last year and am just getting around to using.  The papers are lovely and are a nice thick cardstock.  I only have Fiskar and EK Success border punches and I have forgotten which one I used!  I am so addle brained lately.
Don't for get to enter these challenges over at The Outlawz and the one at TTCRD!  TTCRD is an "Anything Goes" challenge, so get on over there!

TTRCD Holiday Magazine Is Here!

The Holiday issue of the TTCRD magazine is up and available.  I think this is the best one yet!  There are so many ideas and techniques that I want to try so I will be hitting the craft store tomorrow to get my supplies.  I created a "Pop Up" scrapbook page using photos from last Christmas.  It is an older technique that I have revisited.

The papers are from Vintage Christmas by Paper Studio.  I cut the round ornaments with my CM small circle punch and used Stickles glitter glue on them.  Santa is from Jolee's and the gifts are from Recollections.  When you open your two page spread, the tree pops up and folds back down when you flip the page.
Be sure you check out the video on the right side bar and Happy Crafting!

Good Morning!

Here is the new Color Palette and my card for this week's color challenge at the Outlaws.  I used my Creative Memories cutting system to cut a round card for the "Anything but a square card" challenge.  I am not thrilled with the outcome of my design, but to quote my sister, "It is what it is"!  My embossing folder is by Cuttle Bug and I used my Spellbinders Nestibilities leaf dies to make the leaves.  The flowers are from Prima and the little butterflies are a small punch.  My sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Hope you will join us this week!
The TTCRD "Anything Goes" Challenge is up!  Team A has some lovely inspiration cards posted using our sponsor, Sandi Samples images.

My card using one of Sandi's adorable images.  Hope you will find the time to join both of these awesome challenges and share your creativity!

Busy and Outstanding Week

It has been quite the busy and wonderful week for me.  My daughter gave us a new beautiful granddaughter two weeks ago and I spend the week up with her and my SIL and adorable grandson.  I didn't get any crafting done needless to say.
Welcome Little Lucy
With big brother, Dean
At the Outlaws, the color challenge was picked by Laurian.  It is a beautiful photo and the colors are just delish.

I made my big flower on the bottom right with a small leave punch.  I punched out many of them and glued them in a circle.  I put a ribbon fabric flower in the center and added a gem.  The ovals for my sentiment were cut with Creative Memories circle cutter.  This is my fave product of theirs and I use the system often.  I used some tiny letter stickers and attached some leaves.  The falling leaves were also punched with another small leaf punch and I embossed the background.
Our sponsor for the month of October is Anji's Antics!
Check out her store for some fabulous digis!

Color Challenge and TTCRD Challenge

Hello friends!  This has been a busy week.  The Color Challenge is up at the Outlawz and TTCRD's "Anything Goes" Challenge is awaiting your creations.  I used our sponsor, Anji's Antics, to create my Color Challenge card.  It is my week to host, and I just love the colors and the inspiration photo.  I hope you like it too and it inspires you to make a project.  You have three choices in the challenge this week.  You can use flowers, veggies, or fruit on your card or project.  I used some tiny stamped flowers from an older Stampin' Up collection.

I used a sheet of Creative Memories gray mottled paper from their gray collection for my background and I colored my image with my Copic Markers.  I stamped my flowers on the paper and colored them with Prisma Pencils and added gems to the centers.  I added some acrylic rain drops and made my puddle with Glossy Accents.  My clouds were cut out from a 12 by 12 sheet of paper that came in one of the big packs of paperwith 180 sheets.  I stamped my sentiment using another Stampin' Up stamp.  I love this digi from Anji!  It is so adorable.
Team A, Anne, Sandi, Berni, Penny and myself welcome you to the "Anything Goes" challenge.  Our sponsor this week is Fitztown.  They have some beautiful images for your coloring pleasure.

I chose their beautiful Ballerina that I colored and cut out.
My border punch is by Fiskar and my flowers are a Tim Holtz die cut.  I wet them, "scrunched" them,  then stacked them and secured them with a heart shaped brad.  The paper is from Creative Memories and the sentiment is a stamp by Ippity.  As always, I used my Copic Markers.  Come on over and join us!

Challenges Are Up!

I have had a time trying to het this posted!  I had it all done and then hit a glitch either in Blogger or my internet connection and lost it all!  I was so frustrated that I put it aside until this evening.

TTCRD's "Anything Goes" challenge is up.  Team A, of which I am a member, has some wonderful inspiration cards for you.  I gave mine to my daughter for her birthday last week.  I used Anne Fenton's beautiful floral digi and colored it up with my Copics that I always purchase from our sponsor this week, OOZAK.  Awesome company and very quick with your order.

My Card
Both the border punch and butterfly punch are from Martha Stewart
The sentiment stamp is from an old Christmas stamp set from Stampin' Up.
I used some Mermaid Stickles on the head and body of the butterfly and the flower centers and made the "deely bobbers" out of copper wire that I wound around a skinny Kebab stick.
Over at The Outlawz the Color Challenge is up and the last few days of the Creative Freebie challenge are running.
Lindsay chose our color palette and is challenging us to add an animal.
Our Fabulous Sponsor this month is:

I used my Copics, Bazzill solid paper and various PP.  I added a little card within my card to put my sentiment, and added a crystal heart.
Sandi and Anne have given us some fantastic digis to work with.  The best part is they are free!  All you have to do is send us your email address and they will send them to you.  You will receive the new images every two weeks as long as you play in the challenge.
For Sandi's Wedding Car I colored with Copics added a paper medallion that I have had from Creative Memories.  The solid gold paper is actually metallic and shimmery but it did not photograph well.  I tore the paper that the sentiment is on and added some gems.
For Anne's fisherwoman in her saucy hip waders I used pale green cardstock and two different PP.  The flower in the circle is acrylic and is from Recollections.
Hope you find some crafty time to come and play in all the wonderful challenges!  See you there!

It's Hump Day

First, I would like to acknowledge the tragic day of September 11th, 2001 and say a little prayer for all that perished and their families who will forever suffer.  It is so hard to believe how much time has already passed.

On a happier note, it is my daughter, Elizabeth's birthday and we will be celebrating this weekend.  My little Chihuahua, Tinkerbell, was also born 13 years ago today.

The "Color Challenge" at The Outlawz and the "Anything Goes" challenge at TTCRD is up and running.  Lindsay selected the cute inspiration photo and challenges us to use the colors and make a masculine card.  Here is mine:

I am so bad about throwing my product packaging away when I open them up, so I never know who to give credit to!  I love my two embossing folders that I used.  The background is chicken wire and the red on the side is barbed wire.  Thought they would both lend to a masculine feel.  I distressed the edges of my accent papers and the barbed wire with Color Box chalking ink and my motorcycle stamp is from Stampin' Up.  The Best Wishes embellie is from Recollections.  I seem to buy a lot of their products lately.  The accent paper the motorcycle is stamped on is really palest just didn't photograph well.
At the "Anything Goes" challenge, Team B, Deonna, Sandra, Candy, Kathi and Linda  have some FAB inspiration for you.  I hope it inspires you to create a little something to enter the challenge.  Their are fabulous prizes to be randomly won and you will meet the nicest crafters.  This is one of the best reasons, to me, to participate.  I love interacting with other crafters!
The sponsor this week is "Eureka" stamps!  They have some pretty fantastic digis available and I hope you will check them out.

Remember that you can enter twice, so have fun!  The Fall issue of the TTCRD magazine is almost ready for publication.  There are so many free digis that it off sets the subscription!  There are also many tips, tricks, tutorials and inspiration projects for you!
The site is going under some construction, but it is still available to play!

Good Evening!

I am so far behind this week!  I work Monday thru Thursday and with Monday off for Labor Day, I am cramming four days into three.  Just a little stressed here.....

Our Tuesday Color Challenge at The Outlawz is up and running.  I chose our color palette this week and I think those purses are adorable and the colors so vibrant.  We have a great sponsor this month in "Stamp N Doodle".  They have some fantastic digis and they are so fun to color up.  Be sure to go and check them out!

I chose this darling image as it reminds me on a fun summer day.  The Twist this week is to add pearls.  I used my Copics to color her up, some old Prima flowers with a crystal brad center.  One of my favorite Creative Memories products is the Cutting System.  I use it a lot and made my double oval for my Stampin' Up sentiment stamp.  A little scrap of ribbon and some bling on the bottom and Voila, finis!  ( A little French and Italian for ya! ;)  I have been doing better at finishing the inside of my cards.  I am inspired by my friend Patricia St. Martin who's cards are amazing both inside at out.

Our Sponsor
Be sure to stop over at Through the Craftroom Door for another Anything Goes challenge.  Team A (of which I am a member) has put together some great inspiration for you.  As always, there are fabulous prizes to be had as well as great friends to make.

Happy Tuesday!

First, I would like to wish a very Happy Birthday  to team member, Laurian!  Wishing you many blessings, gal!

I chose our inspiration photo for this week's Color Challenge at The Outlawz.  I just love the color combo and the photo is so summery.  Our "twist" this week is to add ribbon.  I know everyone has a stash of ribbon laying around.

I used an old butterfly and flower stamp I have had.  Unfortunately, I did not save the manufacturer's name and they are unmounted.  I used Ranger Arts Distress Ink in Peeled paiint.  Made the butterfly's "deely bobbers" out of copper wire and attached them with Zots glue dots.  My papers are from Creative Memories and they are double sided prints.  I had totally forgotton I had these papers and I really like them.  A gem on the flower and bow finishes it off.

Our sponsor this month is"
Digi Stamps for Joy

Hope you will visit their site.  They have some gorgeous digis waiting for your creative spirit!

Over at TTCRD the "Anything Goes" Challenge is up and Team B really has some awesome inspiration for you.
