Top of the morning to ya!

Our Color Challenge at The Outlawz is up and running this morning.  Teresa chose our inspiration photo (which is adorable) and the color palette.  Everyone on the DT did an excellent job with their interpretation of the colors and their designs.

The Twist this week is to make a friendship project.  I am trying to use papers that I have had in my stash for a while and I am notorious for taking my papers out of their packets and forgetting whose they are!  I group my paper by color and pattern rather than by manufacturer.  The tan pleated "paper" is actually fabric.  I mounted a half inch strip on double sided adhesive tape and pleated it.  I recently bought a packet of quilting "fat squares" just because the fabric was so pretty!  The "Friend to Friend" stamp is a Stampin' Up oldie.  Come and join us this week and every week!

Happy Hump Day!

I can't believe it is mid-week already and that January is already squeeking by.  Some days I feel like I am spreading myself too thin, but I don't want to let anything go!  I am sure there are many of you that feel the same way.

It was my turn to pick the Color Challenge at The Outlawz this week.  I chose something very bright and fun and chose to make something other that a card.  I used my Cricut cartridge that features many boxes, Tags, Bags, Boxes and More.  It is a small gift box just big enough for a tiny treat.  The "Twist" was to make something square.  This could be a perfectly square card, or anything square.

I sued some old CM papers, pink hem tape, sequins, and Prima Flowers centered with a jewel.  The top of the box is outlined with Stickles and has another vertical row of sequins.

Please come over and join us this week, and show that it is HIP TO BE SQUARE!

Good Morning!

There is a lot going on in Blogland and it is all good!  First at The Outlawz Color Challenge there is a lovely color palette guaranteed to brighten any dreary winter day.  Laurian selected our photo and beautiful color palette.  Her twist is to add fibers.

This is what I came up with.
The die cut is from Cricut, Prima flowers, fibers, embossing folder and papers from my stash.  I added a pearl for the center of my flowers.
Through the Craftroom Door
There is an "Anything Goes" challenge at Through the Craftroom Door.  This is my entry for last week.  the cute image is from The Paper Shelter.
Guylou's Inimitability
There will be a new challenge at Guylou's shortly!  Stay tuned.

Happy New Year!

I can't believe it is the start of another year.  Last year just sped by.  I, along with many of you, remember when my Mom would tell me the years go by more quickly the older you get!  So true.

The Color Challenge at The Outlawz has the honor of hosting the first challenge of 2013.  It was my turn to pick the challenge colors and I found this cute folder on the web.  I copied it for my inspiration card because I like it so much.

The color palette is Light Turquoise, Light Blue and Melon and the Twist is to add Twine.  Below is my rendition.  I used a button to make my closure.

Our GDT this month is Penny ODell.  We are delighted to have her and her projects are awesome!
I am sponsoring the challenge this month with a $15.00 gift certificate from OOZAK, one of The Outlawz major sponsors.  Hope you can come and play now that the holidays are over and we all hopefully have more free time!
