Running on Empty.....

What a whirlwind week and weekend! Every evening after work I had someplace to be.  Monday was book club, Tuesday, hair appointment, Wednesday my sis Rochelle and I took dinner to Mom, and Thursday she and I had an organization meeting to work on our fund raiser for my BIL's Miracle Ride in May.  Scott and his Posse, of which my husband is a member of, ride their Harley's and got through the lower 48 states raising money for The Children's Miracle Network.  They do it in 21 days and that is a lot of hard riding.  They have to pay for all of their expenses and the good folks of Columbus donate to the cause.  All the money stays in Columbus for the Medical Center's Neo-Natal unit.  We did an all day photo and video shoot on Saturday on the very cold and damp Saturday.

Also celebrated my and my grandson, Dean's, birthday on Sunday.  We had a wonderful time!

This is the card I made for the TTCRD challenge, Anything Goes, this week.  It is a Whoopsie Daisy adorable image and I used Creative Memories double sided papers I have had for over three years!  I love when I find something I had forgotton I had in my stash!  I used my copic markers to color this sweet girl and cut the Happy Birthday font from another piece of patterned paper.  The satin brad I have also had for some time.

The TTCRD Spring Issue is also out.  If you do not have a subscription yet, you need to grab one!  There are a lot of fantastic tutorials and inspiration as well as FREE digis!  What is not to love???

your most welcome creation!  Our FAB sponsor is:

This is one of the too cute images from our sponsor!  I used a doily, copics, vellum, to fish brads I painted white, a Sizzix embossing folder and some clear "bubbles".  The little mermaid was fun to color up!  The new challenge will be up tomorrow so stay tuned!

Here is the Color Palette and card I created for it at The Outlawz.  It was my turn to pick the palette and I saw this pretty quilt on Pinterest.  You know, that little addictive site?  The digi image I colored is one of the first Copic coloring projects I did about two years ago!  I had her all cut out and in a little box I had forgotten about.  There are several others in there, too.  Creative Freebie also is up and running.  It started on Sunday and goes until the 23rd.  The images that Anne and Sandi drew are lovely, and so fun to color up!  Below are my two renditions.

My flourish is from a Cricut Cartridge , "Accent Essentials".  I put someStickles on it as well as the cupcake.  The alpas are from Reminisce.

I have run across some old Creative Memories papers in my stash and have been using them lately.
Both of these cards are the CM stash.  They came in coordinating packs with stickers and they are at lease three year's old!  I should be ashamed that I have so much paper and don't know what I have!  I'm sure ya'll can relate to that.  I love paper!
A shout out to our sponsor this month for the Color Challenges:
Check them out!  They are offering a $10 gift certificate to our randomly drawn monthly winner!
There are many site wide sponsors with delicious goodies that are up for grabs, so make sure you check out the side bar at The Outlawz.

There is a new challenge up and running at Through the Craftroom Door.  You have to check out the gorgeous cards the DT has made for some fantastic inspiration.  The challenge is "Anything Goes" so you have no excuse not to play!

Two Challenges Up!

There are two FAB challenges up and running today.  One is at Through The Craftroom Door and the other is the Color Challenge at The Outlawz.  First TTCRD's Challenge.

Anything Goes!
Our Sponsor this week is:

I chose this adorable little puppy in a basket to make my card.  I used my copic markers, fussy cut him out and used some ribbons that a friend made for me from seam binding. I love this type of ribbon.  I will admit I have not had luck finding this type of seam binding in any of our local fabric stores.  All I can find is the cotton type.  I cute my squares out of four by six pieces of old Creative Memory papers with their small square punch.

The Outlawz Color Challenge
The beautiful inspiration photo and colors were picked by DT member Penny and the Twist is to make it vintage.
Here is my card.  I love this happy lil' bird.  I took my sentiment as a play on the phrase, "Happy as a bird with a french fry"!
Thank you to our fantastic sponsor this month.  My birdie is one of her creations.
The winner will receive a 3 free digistamps
Hopefully I have sparked your interest to come over to these to great sites and enter the fun challenges!  Looking forward to seeing you there!
