Color Me Wonderful

My card for the Color Challenge at The Outlawz was a fun one to make.  My image is from A Day For Daisies.  I love her designs.  They are all just adorable.  The color palette was chosen by Margaret, and this will be her last challenge with Color Challenge.  She will be working with the Sketch group and we will miss her!

I made a pocket card to hold two journal tags.  This could be used as a card for a lot of occasions with plenty of room to write sweet notes to the receiver.  It could also be used on a scrapbook page using the tags for your journaling.  I added buttons, the "Twist", to a journaling tag and added ribbons.  My papers are from some old CM paper packs, and I used their circle cutter from the cutting system with all three blades.  I am a fan of their cutting system.  It is easy to use and comes in m any shapes.

I hope I see many of you entering our challenge this week.  The colors are fun and bright!  We also have our awesome sponsor, Digi My World.  Sponsor: URL:

One Day I Will Be Caught Up........NOT!

One day I will be caught up with all my projects and life will be good!  My husband is getting ready for the motorcycle ride to leave on May 3rd.  It is for my BIL's charity work with Columbus Medical Center's NICU unit raising money for the Children's Miracle Network.  All the money raised stays here in Columbus to buy equipment for the Neo-natal unit.  This is a press release:

Scott Ressmeyer and 11 other Miracle Riders are riding through all 48 lower states in 21 days to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. This is the fifth year that Scott has taken this journey, and in only the first four years Scott’s Ride for Miracles has raised over $430,000 for Children’s Miracle Network! Ultimately, Scott and the Miracle Riders have pledged to raise $1 million over the course of the ride’s span.

The Miracle Riders leave on Friday, May 3, 2013 for their journey across the country and will return on Friday, May 24. Follow them and read about their experiences here at Check in each day of the ride for new posts, pictures and videos! Tune in to WTVM and PMB Broadcasting stations for live updates throughout the ride from Scott and the Miracle Riders
I am really proud of these guys!  Scott is on his bike and the hubs, Larry, is next to him on your right.  You can also keep up with them on the blog and make comments!  Really fun to see them visit local CMN hospitals and take prizes to the kids as well as their silly antics everywhere they stop.

Now, on to this week's Color Challenge

It was my turn to choose the color palette and I love this color palette!  The Twist was to make a spring card.  I used an old SU tiny sentiment stamp, Martha butterfly punch, Spellbinders Nestibilities die, my copics, some jewels and old gold netting tied onto the edge.  I have had this digi for years and cannot remember where I got it.  The background paper is some old CM I have had.  I am discovering papers lately that I forgot I had and it has been fun using them.

Our Sponsor this month is:

The Creative Freebie Challenge is up and running!  Sandy and Anne have provided two fun digis for you to use and all you have to do to get them is sign up to play!  Couldn't be easier.  Here are my two cards using them.

I am giving my BIL, Scott, the BBQ one as he owns three BBQ restaurants in Columbus.  It will be a fun birthday card!

Happy Tuesday!

Our Country has, again, suffered a terrible tragedy with the bombing of Boston Marathon.  We live in very scary times, my friends.  Never in my lifetime did I expect such happenings in our beloved USA.  My prayers go out to the family and friends of all who lost someone or had someone injured.

Well......there are two fabulous challenges at both The Outlawz and Through The Craftroom Door. (TTCRD)  at The Outlawz, the Color Challenge is up and running.  Penny chose our lovely colors and inspiration picture.

The Twist is to use patterned paper

My colors look a bit muddled.  They didn't photograph very well.  I used an adorable House Mouse stamp that I colored with my Copics.  I put a little googly eye on the little mousie in tow and he looks terrified! lol  My flower was cut with the Cricut Cart "A Walk in My Garden".  I just cut them out in different sizes stacked them and curled the edges a little.  My banner has computer a computer font and I lightly inked the edges of the paper around the mousies.

Over at TTCRD

As always it is "Anything Goes".  This is always so much fun!  The sponsor this week is Michelle Perkett, and her digis are amazing!  She generously supplied the DT with a digi to make our projects.

I love this Art Deco looking lady!  The punch looked very Art Deco to me and it is a Fiskar border punch.  I fussy cut my lady out after coloring her and adhered jewels to my border.

Thanks for checking me out and I hope you have a wonderful week!

A Sad Farewell.....

I had to say "farewell" to "Scout", my 2005 Softtail Deluxe Harley.  She got too heavy for me and I did not feel comfortable on her anymore.  I am vertically challenged!  I loved that bike, and I was emotional letting her go. The Easter Bunny brought me a new 2013 1200XL Limited anniversary edition.  "Buster Brown" ( I name everything) is about 200 pounds lighter and much easier to navigate with it's shorter wheel base.  I wasn't ready to give up riding my own yet.  I will dearly miss "Scout" but am looking forward to many miles on the road with "Buster".

I had the HD shop add a windshield and luggage rack/back rest and they lowered the front end for me.

A Little Hello!

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter and Passover.  I had an awesome day shared with family, friends and a lot of eating!  Today is the start of two new challenges at Through The Craft Room Door and The Outlawz.

At TTCRD the challenge is one of my faves....."Anything Goes".  I used an adorable digi from Squigglefly called the WOE Peekers.

I used a piece of paper I have had from Creative Memories from their "Everyday Collection".  It is double sided paper used for scrapbooking.  I cut the "decor" (the orange stripe and floral stripe) into the two strips and adhered them to the background paper.  I attached a lace strip from a square doily and used my circle punch to cut a white circle and adhered a sticker.  I used my copics to color the digi.

At The Outlawz, Ursula chose the lovely inspiration photo and color palette.  The "TWIST" is to add either dry or heat embossing.  I chose to do both.  I haven't used my heat embossing in a while!

I used a piece of Bazzill cardstock in a deep purple, Ranger embossing ink and Ranger embossing powder in  white.  The I added a strip of PP and cut an oval using my CM cutting system and dry embossed it.  I used Color Bok chalk on the edge and put a small oval and Stampin' Up stamp.  A lavender organza bow and gem finished it off.

I do wish you would come over to both of the FAB sites and enter a project.  There are awesome sponsors and prizes to be had!  Our sponsor for the Color Challenge is:
